Abdyrasulova Nurzat Askrabekovna

Nurzat Abdyrasulova is the founder and president of UNISON Group, a local analytical organization focused on energy efficiency, climate change, sustainable development and good governance. She has over 20 years of professional experience and more than 40 trans-regional projects implemented with her participation or patronage.

Nurzat Abdyrasulova is not only a well-known professional and executive leader in the field of energy and energy sector management in the Kyrgyz Republic with institutional support, but also a convinced opinion leader and legislator in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

In addition to projects related to energy efficiency financing instruments, since 2002 Ms. Abdyrasulova has also been active in fostering policy dialogue and guiding government leaders to incorporate good governance practices into their government plans, agendas and policies that help restore public trust and increase transparency and accountability in the energy sector.

Nurzat Abdyrasulova has outstanding skills in international engagement and management of large scale projects, for example for the $55 million Kyrgyz Sustainable Energy Efficiency Financing Facility (KyrSEFF) as team leader and has proven good experience in green economy and product distribution through the financing mechanism (GEFF). She has an excellent understanding of innovative energy-saving technologies and their application in the Central Asian region. Her extensive experience also includes building relationships with partner banks, supporting the development of targeted EE/RES lending products.

Nurzat Abdyrasulova is a founding member and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Kyrgyz Green Alliance Association since 2020, which focuses on promoting green economy policies and the climate change agenda at a high level.
