Interview within the framework of the Expanded NDC Implementation Plan and the Long-Term Low-Carbon Development Strategy (LTS) until 2050 in the water sector


With its vast water resources, Kyrgyzstan remains vulnerable to risks arising from rapidly changing global climate conditions.

What kind of water potential Kyrgyzstan has and how the problems existing in the water sector can be solved were discussed in an interview with the executive director of the Green Alliance KG, Ilgiz Kambarov, with representatives of the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chontoev Dogdurbek (Doctor of Geographical Sciences) , Director of the Institute of Water Problems and Hydropower of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic), Ergeshov Abzhapar (Doctor of Geographical Sciences) and Marat Suyunbaev (Candidate of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, Professor of KNU).


This event is  implemented with the support of the UNDP project “Providing advisory support in the development of the Expanded NDC Implementation Plan and the Long-Term Low-Carbon Development Strategy (LTS) until 2050.”
